Allan primarily works with and advises owners and principals of closely-held and family businesses. This includes work on the formation and termination of business and professional entities and associations (including corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and proprietorships), purchases and sales of businesses, contractual matters, employee benefit plans, and other aspects relating to business and personal estate planning. In addition, he has extensive experience in probate and estate matters, including tax planning and filings with the IRS.

Allan has been selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America, published by Woodward/White, in the areas of Corporate Law, Litigation-Trusts and Estates. Best Lawyers has also designated him as Lawyer of the Year in the area of Trusts and Estate in 2022 and 2016, and as Lawyer of the Year in the area of Corporate Law in 2011. Allan has also been selected for inclusion in Texas Super Lawyers in the areas of Estate Planning and Probate and Corporate Law published by Thomson Reuters. He was also selected as the El Paso Paralegal Association Outstanding Attorney in 2016.

Aaron’s practice focuses on business transactions, real estate, estate planning, and probate. He is licensed in Texas and New Mexico and heads the Firm’s Las Cruces office. Aaron regularly appears in Probate Courts across West Texas and Southern New Mexico.

​Outside of the office, Aaron is an active musician and songwriter. He has performed at SXSW and his original music has been featured on the Fox Series, 9-1-1-: Lone Star.

Thomas joined the firm after serving as a paralegal for the legal division of Texas Legislative Council in Austin during the 85th and 86th legislative sessions. At the Texas Legislative Council, Thomas was responsible for conducting legislative history research, case law research, and bill drafting for nearly all of the Texas Codes.

Legal Assistant

Marissa is a participant in UTEP’s Woody L. Hunt College of Business Honors Program and is scheduled to graduate in the Fall of 2023 with a major in Economics and a minor in Finance. She is a current member of the Omicron Delta Epsilon Honor Society. Marissa has served as an intern for the Honorable Margaret I. Strickland of the United States District Court of New Mexico and has worked with the El Paso Juvenile Probation Department (JDP) through the EMPOWER Program. She is a scholarship recipient of the El Paso Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and an active participant in UTEP’s Law School Preparation Institute (LSPI) in anticipation of her application to law school.

In her free time, Marissa volunteers at the El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank and the Kelly Center for Hunger Relief. She has strong connections to her community in San Elizario and volunteers as a First Year Communion Catechist at the San Elceario Catholic Church.
